20Day 1: Cappadocia
Welcome to Cappadocia, a beautiful region in central Turkey famous for its fairy tale scenery, cave dwellings, remarkable rock formations and where it can said that weird can be truly beautiful.
Cappadocia feels like other worldly with jaw dropping beauty and it will make you fall in love in first sight.
On arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel from airport.
Check into hotel and rest of the day is yours at leisure.
Day 2: Cappadocia
Today we will explore the beauty of Cappadocia.
We will visit Devrent Valley, also known as Imaginary valley. It draws the attention from all over the world with its unique and interesting rock formations which are formed by the erosion of hills and mountains by wind and rain.
The valley can be called as the art of the Mother Nature.
Visit Pasabag Valley also known as Monk valley as stylites and hermits once lived here.
The valley stands apart with its striking fairy chimneys which have twin and triple cone rock caps.
Later visit Goreme Open-Air Museum which has the finest of the rock-cut churches, with beautiful frescoes.
It is a UNESCO world heritage site and churches belong to 10th to 12th centuries. Kaymakli Underground city is the place where you will see the jaw dropping excavation by troglodytes.
It is the widest underground city which also prove to be the safe hiding place for christens during Byzantine era from invaders.
At the end we will visit a ceramic workshop which is the centre of pottery since Hittites.
Return back to hotel and rest of the day is yours at leisure.
Day 3: Cappadocia – Konya - Pamukkale
We will move to Konya today after breakfast. Konya is a home to the Whirling Dervish, a religious group that practices a form of whirling or spinning meditation.
Visit Mevlana Museum, a grand one which is also called as Green Dome. It is famous for Mevlana Mausoleum belonging to well-known great dervish, poet and pioneer of the Islamic mysticism, Mevlana Jelaleddin Rumi.
It is still a lodge for authentic Mevlevi dervishes.
Later we will proceed to Pamukkale, a home to the eighth wonder of the world, cotton castle.
On arrival check into hotel and rest of the day is yours at leisure.
Day 4: Pamukkale – Ephesus - Kusadasi
Today be prepared to be amazed as we visit ‘cotton castle’ after breakfast. It is a snow white mountain like formation resembling a frozen waterfall.
The hot water springs it contains has a large mineral content, with chalk, limestone and travertine and was used as a spa since 2nd century.
Later we will visit Hierapolis, an ancient city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit Hierapolis Theatre, a classic example of Greco-Roman Theatre.
Then we will proceed to our next destination Ephesus, another UNESCO world Heritage Site in Turkey. It was once a religious centre of the early Christianity and trade centre of the ancient world.
Visit the Grand Theatre, a splendid example of architecture; constructed in the Hellenistic period and it took 60 years to complete.
See other ancient sites and ruins like Celsus Library and Temple of Hadrian.
The temple is dedicated to Emperor Hadrian when he came to visit the city from Athens in 128 A.D. you will be amazed and fall in love with these grand Roman ancient ruins.
Later we will proceed to Kusadasi, the harbour town all about sun, sea and relaxation.
Day 5: Kusadasi – Sirince - Canakkale
Today we will see what this Turkish Mediterranean's most popular cruise ship ports has to offer.
Visit Pigeon Island locally known as Güvercinada where the remnants of a 13th-century Byzantine fortress can still be seen.
It is a lovey spot for a sea side walk and gives excellent photo opportunity.
Later we will move to Sirince, the perfect synthesis of a traditional Turkish village and traditional Greek village.
This village is a heaven for wine lovers and famous for its fruit wines, fresh fruits, olive oils.
Take a leisure walk around the charming beauty and observe the life of locals while having a sip of Turkish coffee.
You can also buy amazing trinkets, souvenirs, jewellery, soaps, dried fruit, handmade clothing as it is one of the most admired markets of Aegean Coast.
Then we will proceed to Canakkale for our next stay.
Day 6: Canakkale - Istanbul
Let’s see what this place has to offer where the great Trojan wars took place.
Visit the Trojan horse statue which proved to be the fall of the troy city.
The current statue is used in film Troy. Stop by and click some memories with statue which once rubbed shoulders with Brad Pitt.
Later we will take a ferry to Gallipoli, the sombre site of World War I between Allied forces and the Ottoman army.
At the end we will proceed to Istanbul, the commercial hub of Turkey.
Day 7: Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul! Formerly known as Constantinople and once the capital of great Byzantine Empire.
After the conquest of Ottoman’s it still retain its glorious place as the heart of their empire.
Today we will visit Hagia Sofia Museum, a Christian place of worship during Byzantine Empire before it gets converted to mosque when Ottoman conquered the city. Here you can observe both Ottoman and Byzantium effects under one great dome.
Later visit Topkapi Palace, built in 15th century after the conquered of Constantinople by Ottoman Emperor Fatih Sultan Mehmed.
The palace is a dazzling display Islamic art, hand painted tile work with beautiful carvings. Pass along the Hippodrome which was the centre of Byzantine and Ottoman people’s life and a public arena mainly for chariot races.
Then move ahead to see the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also known as Blue Mosque due to its alluring blue Iznik tile work.
Later rest of the day is yours for shopping at Grand Bazaar. The oldest and largest in world where you can buy Iznik bowls, unique Turkish lamps, kilim rugs, jewellery, Turkish teas, Turkish delights and spices, to colourful crafts in all shapes and sizes.
Day 8: Istanbul
It’s time to get ready for our return journey.
Check out from hotel and we will enjoy a picturesque cruise through the strategic waterway of Bosphorus Strait.
It does not only connects Black Sea and Sea of Marmara but also forms a boundary between Asia and Europe.
Enjoy the cruise while daily life of Turkish people unfolds in front of you.
Later we will proceed to airport for our return journey.
