20Day 1: Madurai
Welcome to Madurai – the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu also known as Lotus City’.
After Lunch visit Meenakshi Temple, built in 17th century and dedicated to Goddess Parvati.
Meenakshi Amman temple complex is made in accordance to the Shilpa Shastra with highly minute details with great art pieces incorporated in the walls and pillars.
Then visit Thirumalai Nayakar Palace, erected in 1636 AD during Nayak dynasty, depicts the perfect blend of Dravidian and Rajput styles.
Day 2: Madurai - Kodaikanal (Distance – 115 Km)
Today after Breakfast, proceed to Kodaikanal, A Lakeside resort town of Tamil Nadu with beautiful climate, mist-covered manicured cliffs and waterfall.
After lunch, visit Bryant Park, a botanical garden which gives you a chance to behold the majesty of nature in all its glory.
Then stroll around serene Kodaikanal Lake, one of the most picturesque sights you will find.
You can indulge in activities or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll around the gorgeous lake taking in some awe-inspiring vistas.
Day 3: Kodaikanal
Explore the beauty of Kodaikanal today.
Visit mystical Pillar Rocks, famed for the three giant pillars, one of the best viewpoints you will find in Kodaikanal and its surrounding areas.
Then visit Silver Cascade fall, a natural waterfall in Kodaikanal, emanating from overflowing of the famous Kodaikanal Lake which makes a perfect stopover.
At evening visit Coaker’s walk, approximately 1-km long walkway built on the slopes of a mountain is thronged for the astonishing vistas of the surrounding landscape.
Day 4: Kodaikanal – Rameshwaram (Distance – 290 Km)
After breakfast, continue your journey to Rameshwaram, one of the holiest places in India and is located on a beautiful island.
On arrival, check into hotel and rest of the time is yours at leisure.
Day 5: Rameshwaram
Start exploring this holy town today.
Visit Kalam National Memorial which was built in the honour of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the Missile Man of India.
It displays an impressive collection of memorabilia that cherishes the priceless contributions of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam including replicas of missiles, rockets and information about the Pokhran Nuclear Test.
Then Visit Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple, built in the Dravidian style architecture. With the longest corridor of the world and immaculate carvings on pillars, it is worth visiting.
Then At the end take blessings at Hanuman Temple. The famous Hanuman idol is carved out of a large Senthooram Stone and The Temple is said to house stones used to build the Rama Setu.
Day 6: Rameshwaram – Madurai (Distance – 170 Km)
It’s time to proceed for return journey.
