20Day 1: Gwalior
Welcome to Gwalior, the city which takes you back in time with its age old monuments.
On arrival check into hotel and then head for sightseeing.
Visit Jai Vilas Palace, a symbol of age-old Indian culture and opulence spread over 75 acres. The palace built with white marbles and is a fine example of European architecture. The palace also has museum which displays the antiques of regal lifestyle and offers an unparalleled glimpse into the rich culture and lifestyle of princely India.
Later visit Tomb of Tansen where the great musician was buried who influenced the medieval period with his music.
Day 2: Gwalior - Jhansi (Distance – 100 Km)
Today, after breakfast,
visit Gwalior fort, the grand fortress, built in the 8th-century by Man Singh Tomar with beautiful architecture and palaces like Gujari Mahal and Man Mandir within to explore.
It has number of sites to visit like Saas Bahu temple and rock cut carvings of Tirthankaras.
Experience the grandeur and rich heritage of fort.
Evening is free at leisure.
Later proceed to Jhansi and evening is free at leisure.
Day 3: Jhansi
It’s time to explore the wonders of Jhansi.
Visit to Jhansi fort which has special place in the history of Indian freedom fight.
Then proceed to Rani Mahal, the residence of the Brave Rani Laxmi Bai.
On route visit Lord Ganesha temple which witnessed the marriage of Gangadhar Rao and Rani Laxmi Bai.
At the end of the day visit to Maharaja Gangadhar Rao ki Chhatri which is war memorial built by Rani Laxmi Bai after death of her husband.
Day 4: Jhansi – Orchha - Jhansi
Today proceed for Orchha and visit Raja Ram temple, the only temple where Lord Ram is worshipped as both Lord and King.
Then seek blessings at Laxmi Narayana Temple built in 17th century is a unique blend of temple and fort architecture.
Later see Jahangir Mahal, built in 17th century by Bundela ruler, Bir Singh Deo is remarkable for its vivid and fine Indo-Islamic style of architecture.
Also visit to Raja Mahal and Chaturbhuj Temple, an ancient one built in the 1st Century.
Day 5: Jhansi
It’s time to get ready for your return journey after breakfast.
