25-30Day 1: Leh
Welcome to Leh; the capital of UT of Ladakh, set amidst the epic Himalayas. Ladakh is a rustic and heavenly beautiful travel destination with rugged valleys and mountains, winding roads with breathtaking views.
On arrival to Leh, check into hotel and get acclimatize to the weather. Rest of the time yours at leisure.
Get refreshed and visit Leh Palace.
Day 2: Leh
Today, explore Leh after breakfast. Proceed to Sangam view point; the confluence point of the Indus and Zanskar rivers which is a truly wonderful sight.
Later visit Magnetic Hill where you can experience the anti-gravity pull; a rare phenomenon to witness.
Take blessings at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, built in early 16th century where Guru Nanak Dev Ji is believed to be meditated and conquered a demon.
Then visit Spituk Gompa and Hall of Fame, erected by the Indian Army in honor of soldiers who perished during the various wars that have been fought in this region. The displays relating the bravery of Indian soldiers and their courageous accomplishments will fill your heart with pride.
At evening visit Shanti Stupa, a religious place that offers a panoramic view of the city and the surroundings.
Day 3: Leh
Let’s explore Leh today. Visit Shey Palace, built in 16th century and was once the abode of Royal Family.
The palace is built in Tibetan style of architecture with huge Shakyamuni Buddha statue.
Later visit Thiksey Monastery, built in the 15th century which features 15m tall statue of Maitreya Buddha.
Also visit Hemis Gompa; known as the richest monastery in Ladakh with impressive and intriguing architecture.
At evening visit Main Bazaar to experience the vibrant ambience of Ladakh. Shop and buy souvenirs for your loved once from range of things it offers.
Day 4: Leh – Khardung La Pass - Nubra Valley (Distance – 130 Km)
Get ready for one of the scenic journeys you will experience in your lifetime as you visit Nubra Valley today.
Drive through the one of the World’s highest motorable pass in the world positioned at an altitude of 18,379 ft (5602 m).
Nubra valley offers picturesque landscapes with breathtaking views and you can witness the confluence of Shyok River and Nubra River. On arrival visit Diskit Monastery; the largest and oldest Buddhist monastery in Nubra Valley with its most prominent attraction the huge Maitreya Buddha statue atop it.
Later enjoy the views of sand dunes in Hunder village which sits like an oasis in the middle of cold desert. Also enjoy the joyride on double-humped bactrian camels.
Day 5: Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake (Distance – 230 Km)
Today you will enjoy some scenic views of the north most jewel as you proceed to Pangong Lake.
Pangong Tso, world’s highest saltwater lake is situated at a height of almost 4,350m.
The lake offers mesmerizing views with the beautiful backdrops of mountains.
Day 6: Pangong Lake - Leh (Distance – 230 Km)
Today, proceed for Leh after breakfast. Enjoy the mesmerizing views with pure cool breeze on your way to Leh.
On arrival check into hotel and rest of the time is yours at leisure.
Day 7: Leh
It’s time to get ready for your return journey.
After breakfast check out from hotel and you will be transferred to airport.
